As finals week draws near, and due dates quickly approach,
Albertus students find themselves doing the last second cramming, that is seen
at every college. So here are some tips
for successfully accomplishing all the work and studying that has to be done.
Start off by writing out all the work and studying that must
be accomplished and the dates they are due by.
Then create a schedule of free time you have to accomplish your work in
the upcoming week. Follow that up by
scheduling out each assignment, while creating a checklist for yourself, so
that every time you accomplish an assignment you can feel the satisfaction of
crossing it off the list. While
attempting to finish up all your work, be sure to allow yourself chances to
"recharge" by doing things that you enjoy for an hour. Whether that is reading, playing video games,
working out, eating, napping, or anything else, just make sure you don't get
too wrapped up in your work, or it will not be as high quality as you can make
it.
Sometimes, even when us college kids schedule everything out
perfectly, there still isn't enough time in the day to fulfill all of our work
requirements; which brings about the dreaded "all-nighter." The Urban Dictionary defines an all-nighter
as a college student, ditching sleep in order to cram for upcoming tests, or to
complete upcoming assignments. Pulling
an all-nighter may not be the ideal choice for students, but if necessary students
must be sure to do so properly. Eating
the correct foods is always a must, for example apples, which many people
believe are a better source of energy than coffee! As an avid coffee drinker, I find myself
sticking to a nice cup of java to keep me working hard into the wee hours of
the morning.
For those of you who are beginning the cramming period of
the semester I wish you luck, and for those of you who are like me and finished
all your work for the rest of the semester two weeks ago during a sleepless
all-nighter in order to make your final weeks of the semester stress free;
BOOYAH!
